Abstract: In a further aging society, excellent eyesight is an integral part of overall well-being and quality of life. Preserving good vision is crucial to maintaining mobility, independence, and mental health. There can be several reasons for visual impairment in elderly people, these include age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss among older adults, cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and others.
