Abstract: Neuroscience is the ultimate frontier in our quest for a comprehensive understanding of human behavior. Since its launch in 2009, the Human Connectome Project has emerged as a pioneering force, making heroic strides in elucidating the intricate correlation between structural information and the functioning of the human brain. However, this ambitious endeavor is just one facet of a broader and ongoing active exploration that seeks to provide insight into the underlying cellular mechanisms that govern the functional dynamics of neural circuits where cellular morphology, function, and gene expression profiles reflect the heterogeneity and diversity of cell types in the central nervous system.
