PD has been traditionally considered a motoric disorder characterized by tremor, rigidity and bradykinesia, however it is now settled that PD also comprises a range of non-motor symptoms like hyposmia, sleep disturbances and cognitive impairments (Tysnes and Storstein, 2017).
