Abstract: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a rare neurological disease, featuring gradual loss of muscle controls due to degeneration of motor neurons. Unfortunately, there is currently no cure for ALS. The available therapies only offer a limited extension of survival by several months, begging for more options of therapeutics.
