Age-related changes of lateral  ventricular width and periventricular white matter in the human brain: a diffusion tensor imaging study

摘要:

既往描述大脑白质和体积的研究多见,但关于年龄相关的脑室扩大对室周白质影响的研究较为少见。鉴于此,实验纳入60名20-78岁的健康人,应用弥散张量成像检测侧脑室周白质的4个感兴趣区:前、后放射冠及胼胝体膝部和压部,应用脑室质量指数、侧脑室前角指数、侧脑室后角指数评估脑室宽度。前放射冠FA和ADC与后放射冠FA值与年龄和脑室宽度呈明显正相关(P<0.0501)。脑室质量指数、侧脑室前角指数、侧脑室后角指数与年龄呈明显正相关(P<0.0501)。前后放射冠各向异性值和表观弥散系数的增大与正常衰老过程中脑室扩大相关,说明这些会影响脑室周围白质,并将进一步导致衰老过程中的认知和感觉运动功能减退,提示人们在此种情况下应尽早采取相应干预阻止其发展。
